Marysville’s Planning and Historic Preservation Commission is set to take up downtown zoning changes that would broaden where certain auto and entertainment-related uses could be allowed.
According to the April 22 commission agenda, the public hearing asks the commission to recommend that the City Council amend Section 18.98 of the city’s municipal code and the Downtown Specific Plan. The proposed changes would allow automobile uses in the Mixed-Use Corridor with a minor use permit and commercial recreation facility-indoor uses in Mixed-Use Neighborhood, or MU-N, zoning districts with a minor use permit.
The agenda lists a staff report and PowerPoint presentation for the item, but the materials reviewed here do not show whether the commission voted on the proposal or how city officials ultimately acted on it.
If the amendments move forward, they could change what kinds of tenants and site uses are permitted in Marysville’s downtown zoning framework.
