The Yuba County Board of Supervisors unanimously adopted Resolution 2026-80 on Sept. 22, authorizing the county’s Community Development and Services director or designee to submit a joint application with Onyx Investment Group to the California Department of Housing and Community Development for the Homekey+ program. The resolution also authorizes execution of documents needed for the application, subject to review and approval by County Counsel and Risk Management, according to the board’s summary of proceedings.
The vote was 5-0, with Supervisors Andy Vasquez, Renick House, Seth Fuhrer, Gary Bradford and Jon Messick voting in favor. Assistant Director Kevin Perkins gave the board a brief recap before the vote, the proceedings say.
The action authorizes Yuba County and Onyx to seek the funding; it does not show that the state has awarded a grant. The proceedings reviewed also do not identify a proposed project site, number of units, affordability terms, population to be served or requested award amount.
