Yuba City’s July 7 council agenda puts a $539,798 wastewater clarifier equipment purchase on the consent calendar, along with a requested $110,202 contingency.

The staff report says the city is being asked to award MuniQuip, LLC a contract for Walker Process Equipment machinery tied to the West Secondary Clarifier Rehabilitation Project. The report describes the existing clarifier mechanism as aging and previously damaged, and says installation will be bid separately later.

According to the agenda packet, the purchase is part of the city’s wastewater treatment plant capital work. The packet also identifies the equipment vendor as MuniQuip, LLC of Roseville and links the proposal to Walker Process Equipment.

The council’s action is listed as a recommendation on the July 7 consent calendar; the source materials do not include the final vote or any discussion from the meeting.

The same agenda also includes other city business, including election-related actions, a GANN limit resolution, and a wastewater rate item, but the clarifier purchase is among the larger capital spending items before the council.
