Marysville’s Planning and Historic Preservation Commission agenda for Sept. 23 moves a proposed CORE Charter School expansion into public-hearing territory.
The agenda says commissioners will consider a modification of Use Permit 10-11 and Major Design Review Permit DR26-37 for CORE Charter School. The proposal would expand the campus onto five adjoining R-2 parcels, according to the agenda materials.
The same packet says the project includes new campus construction and demolition of existing housing. In the summary materials for the meeting, the school proposal is described as including a 23,610-square-foot school addition, a 14,006-square-foot multipurpose building and the removal of five residential structures totaling six dwelling units, plus one storage building.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sept. 23 in the Council Chamber on the second floor at 526 C Street. The commission agenda also includes a separate public hearing on a tentative parcel map for a minor land division at 309 B Street and 310 Chestnut Street, along with consent approval of minutes from the commission’s Aug. 26 meeting.
