The Shasta County Department of Public Works is seeking a $625,000 budget amendment for improvements to the shop at West Central Landfill.
According to a county budget-amendment memorandum and attached form, the change would increase the WCL Shop Improvements appropriation in Solid Waste Disposal Administration Budget Unit B07 from $50,000 to $675,000. The form lists the change under cost center 00207, account 061186.
The related revenue line, labeled “TRANS IN WCL R & I,” would rise from $8.103 million to $8.728 million under account 806206. Because expenditures and revenue would each increase by $625,000, the memorandum says the amendment would have no net budget impact.
The memorandum, dated Aug. 20, says the Auditor-Controller’s Office would prepare a budget-transfer document after approval. It says the item was scheduled for presentation to the Board of Supervisors on Sept. 15. The available record does not establish whether the board approved the amendment or how members voted.
