Shasta County Public Works says J.F. Shea Construction, Inc. submitted the lowest responsive bid for the Churn Creek Road and Balls Ferry Road pavement rehabilitation project, with a total of $1,582,301 under Contract No. 702015.
The county’s bid summary shows the bid came in below the engineer’s estimate of $1,778,514.75, or 11.0% under estimate. The document lists a July 16 bid opening date.
The project scope includes paving, cold planing, soil treatment, curb ramps, utility adjustments, striping and pavement markings on Churn Creek Road and Balls Ferry Road, according to the bid summary.
The same document lists Tullis, Inc. as the second bidder at $1,876,146 and S.T. Rhoades, Inc. as the third bidder at $2,421,320.55.
