Rio Dell’s June 16 City Council agenda puts several infrastructure and administrative items in front of the council, including a proposed $690,335 construction contract with Wahlund Construction for earthquake repairs to the chlorine contact basin.

The agenda also includes Amendment No. 1 to the city’s professional services agreement with GHD Inc. for the Painter Street Sewer Line Replacement Project. The amendment would add $229,951 and bring the contract total to $442,087, while extending completion to July 30, 2027.

Other scheduled actions include Resolution No. 1669-2026, which would revise staff billable rates for fiscal year 2026-27 and amend the Master Fee Schedule, and Resolution No. 1672-2026, which would authorize examination of sales or transactions and use tax records and designate HdL as the city’s authorized representative with the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration.

The agenda package also includes a discussion of cost recovery tied to abatement work at 530 Third Avenue, an annual adjustment to the Solid Waste Franchise Agreement with Recology Eel River, and a request that state leaders nominate Census Tract 06023011100 as a Qualified Opportunity Zone under the Opportunity Zones 2.0 program.

The agenda documents proposed action only; final council votes were not visible in the material reviewed.
