RIO DELL — The Rio Dell City Council’s Aug. 4 agenda includes a request to authorize Amendment No. 2 to the city’s professional services agreement with GHD Inc. for the Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Study.
According to the agenda, staff is recommending that the council approve an additional $602,396.25 for the contract, bringing the total amount to $1,088,058.25 and extending the completion date to Dec. 1, 2027. The item is listed on the consent calendar and would authorize the city manager to execute the amendment if approved.
The agenda does not explain what prompted the increase or how the added work would be divided within the sewer study. It also does not include any vote, since the item is scheduled for consideration at the Aug. 4 meeting.
The sewer contract amendment is one of several items on the regular meeting agenda. Other scheduled actions include a budget amendment tied to the Police Department Animal Kennel Project, an update from the city engineer and a public hearing on cost recovery for the abatement of 530 3rd Avenue.
The meeting is set for 6 p.m. at City Hall, 675 Wildwood Avenue.
