The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to consider using $1,810,078 in HOME Investment Partnership Program income for two housing activities: additional funding for the We Are Up affordable housing rental project and loans through the Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Loan Program.
Under agenda item 13, the board would consider two resolutions authorizing Humboldt County’s Planning and Building Department director to submit applications and execute documents required for participation in the HOME programs. The final agenda does not specify how the $1,810,078 would be divided between the two activities, or how many homes or households could benefit.
A separate agenda item 14 asks the board to approve a $560,078 supplemental budget for fiscal year 2026-27. The transfer would move money from Special Revenue Fund 3960 to budget unit 3960553-201 to pay HOME program expenses.
The meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. Oct. 6 in the Supervisors’ Chamber at 825 Fifth St. in Eureka, with hybrid participation. The agenda lists the housing applications and budget transfer as proposed actions; it does not establish whether the board approved them. The agenda also does not provide project timelines, eligibility rules or the locations of homes affected.
