The Fortuna Elementary School District Board of Trustees’ Aug. 6 meeting agenda bundles a superintendent evaluation with a long list of personnel, policy and instructional items that could shape the district’s work this fall.
In open session, trustees are scheduled to consider tentative 2026-27 agreements with CSEA and FETA, a proposed compensation package for unrepresented employees, and a declaration of need for certificated staff. The agenda also includes a revised employee handbook and a text messaging privacy policy.
On the instructional side, the board is set to review a TK-5 Amplify CKLA and 6-8 Amplify ELA pilot for 2026-27, which suggests the district is taking a step toward evaluating curriculum materials for elementary and middle grades.
The agenda also calls for approval of a broad package of new and revised board policies, administrative regulations and exhibits. Routine consent items include June 9 and June 11 meeting minutes and the Williams quarterly report for the second quarter of 2026.
The notice says the board will meet at Fortuna Middle School Cafeteria and that the meeting begins with a closed session for the superintendent evaluation before moving into open-session business.
