The Arcata City Council unanimously approved a memorandum of understanding Oct. 7 naming Redwood Coast Energy Authority as host agency for the Regional Climate Committee and Climate Program Manager position.
According to the council’s meeting minutes, the committee and program manager will coordinate implementation of the Regional Climate Action Plan. The council also authorized the city manager to execute applicable documents.
The motion was made by Councilmember Schaefer and seconded by Councilmember Stillman. The vote was unanimous, with all five council members voting yes and no opposing, absent or abstaining votes recorded.
