The Anderson City Council on June 16 approved a personnel package that creates a new Parks and Landscape Superintendent classification, moves one budgeted Public Works Superintendent position into that role and adjusts pay for 15 non-contract mid-management and confidential employees.
According to the city’s June 16 minutes, council adopted Resolution No. 26-27 to amend the city’s Classification and Compensation Plan, establish the new classification, approve its salary schedule and reclassify one budgeted Public Works Superintendent slot. In a separate action, council adopted Resolution No. 26-28 approving salary changes for fifteen non-contract Mid-Management and Confidential classifications.
City Manager Joey Forseth-Deshais presented staff reports on both items, the minutes show. The personnel actions were each approved by 5-0 votes.
The minutes do not include the dollar amounts or step placements tied to the new salary schedule or the pay changes, and they do not say whether the reclassified position changes overall headcount or simply repurposes an existing budgeted slot.
