The Anderson-Cottonwood Irrigation District’s June 11 board packet puts a November election resolution before directors, setting the calendar for three seats whose terms expire in December.
Agenda item 6a asks the board to approve Resolution 2026-06, which would order a general district election for Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, and consolidate it with other elections that may overlap the district. The resolution covers Division 1, Division 2 and Division 5 — currently held by Ronnean Lund, Audie Butcher and Matt Arrowsmith — and says the terms for those offices end Dec. 6, 2026.
The packet says candidate nominations would open July 13 and close Aug. 7 for incumbents, with the window extended to Aug. 12 for non-incumbents if an incumbent does not file. It also says each candidate would pay the cost of any optional candidate statement, limited to 200 words, and that the county registrar would publish the notice of election.
The district estimates the election would cost about $5,000 to $10,000 if it proceeds, with the district reimbursing the county for actual election costs. The packet does not say in the materials provided whether directors adopted the resolution at the June 11 meeting.
The same packet also asks the board to approve a new finance manager contract for Andromeda Herlihy and includes a separate discussion of roughly $1.8 million in offseason improvement work priorities.
