Anderson-Cottonwood Irrigation District directors are set to review a $3,456,500 offseason project package at the board’s July 9 meeting, according to the district’s board packet.

The packet says district staff want direction on the final contracted project list, scope of work and related priorities for the 2026-27 offseason. The work list includes Churn Creek Bottom Main Canal, South Barney Road, Broken Barn to Midway, Railroad to Floyd Lane, Holiday Ranch, Lateral 21 and Lateral 21.3.

The summary provided with the packet says the scope focuses on vegetation removal, canal reshaping, compaction, access-road improvements, fencing work and salvaging material where possible. It also says the board is being asked to review the final project list before the offseason work window.

The July 9 packet also places the project proposal alongside banking and finance items, including proposed changes to signatories on the district’s Tri Counties checking account, RBC investment account access and LAIF transfer authority. The packet’s June financial reports show the district ending June with $649,649 in checking, $2,355,606 in LAIF and $14,741,209 in RBC investments.

The packet includes draft minutes from the district’s June 11 meeting, when directors directed staff to develop scopes and bid estimates for offseason improvement priorities. Those minutes also show the board approving election and finance items, while closing with no reportable action from closed session.

Because the July 9 packet is a planning document, it does not show final board action on the offseason package or which projects, if any, will be changed before work begins.
