Yuba City’s Oct. 6 City Council agenda proposed more than $2.4 million in contracts for roadway engineering and security improvements at the Sam Brannan site. The two proposed awards total up to $2,427,693.07, according to the city’s agenda and staff materials
The largest proposal was a professional-services agreement with R.E.Y. Engineers Inc. totaling up to $2,094,393.07. The amount includes $1,903,993.70 for a roadway audit, pavement-condition-index data collection, major rehabilitation planning and related professional engineering services, plus a 10% contingency of $190,399.37.
The agenda also proposed awarding Xeela Engineering LLC a $303,000 construction contract for Sam Brannan security improvements, with a $30,300 contingency. A separate agenda recommendation called for transferring $163,310 between capital-improvement accounts for the project.
The agenda materials recommend the awards and related actions, but do not include vote tallies, meeting minutes, executed contracts or other confirmation of final council action.
