Yuba City’s Sept. 15 council agenda moves the Ridge Estates project another step forward, with subdivision agreements and final map approvals for The Ridge Estates Unit 1 and Unit 2 and annexation proceedings tied to the city’s landscape and lighting maintenance district.
According to the council agenda and packet materials, council is being asked to approve the subdivision paperwork for the two Ridge Estates units and begin annexation proceedings for the parcels into Lighting and Landscape Maintenance District No. 5, Zone of Benefit K_18. The packet also identifies Brownstone Estates as part of the annexation action.
The hearing for the annexation items is set for Oct. 6, 2026, at 6 p.m., making the agenda a concrete procedural step in both the housing project and the assessment-district structure that will support it.
The Ridge Estates Unit 1 and Unit 2 projects are described in the packet as being on El Margarita Road about 1,850 feet south of State Route 20. The agenda summary says YC Hooper Ventures, LLC is the developer party for both subdivision agreements and final map approvals.
The packet materials reviewed for this report do not include the annexation cost estimates, parcel-specific assessment amounts or any public comment on the hearing. Final council action also is not shown in the packet summary.
