The Fortuna Elementary School District Board of Trustees is scheduled to consider two campus-facilities matters at its Oct. 8 regular meeting: pricing for shade structures, canopies and concrete at Fortuna Middle School, and direction on an administration-building remodel and site work at Ambrosini Elementary.
The items appear under discussion and/or action on the district’s Oct. 8 board agenda. The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in the Fortuna Middle School Cafeteria, 843 L St., with closed session scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
Agenda item 11.6 calls for consideration of approval of “FMS Shade Structure, Canopies, & Concrete Pricing.” The agenda does not state a price, identify a contractor or describe a construction schedule. Item 11.8 calls for “Direction of Ambrosini’s Admin Building Remodel & Site Work,” but it likewise does not spell out the proposed scope, cost, funding source or timeline.
The district has considered other facilities-related action this year. At a May 26 special meeting, trustees considered approval of PCO 24, a revised path-of-travel ramp for the TTMS project. That agenda does not establish whether the May ramp change order is connected to either project listed for Oct. 8.
The Oct. 8 agenda records proposed action only; it does not provide an outcome or vote tally. The district’s superintendent’s office, at 534 12th St., is listed in the agenda as the location for public inspection of writings related to board business.
