Shasta County has entered a three-year subaward with Shasta County Child Abuse Prevention Coordinating Council dba Raising Shasta for Parent Learning and Supportive Services and Prevention and Early Intervention work, according to the agreement.
The contract runs from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029, and carries a maximum value of $933,225, or $311,075 per fiscal year. The agreement says the county is contracting through its Health and Human Services Agency.
Under the subaward, Raising Shasta is responsible for Parent Partner services for families referred through several response paths, including low-risk referrals that would otherwise not receive a county response, moderate-risk joint responses with county social workers, and coordination with the county’s Review, Evaluate and Direct team. The agreement also calls for evidence-based services, including Triple P – Positive Parenting Program®, assessments, referrals to community resources and follow-up contact with families.
The contract includes monthly reporting, client satisfaction surveys, Protective Factors Survey materials, sign-in sheets and corrective-action requirements if expected outcomes are not met. It also spells out confidentiality, background-check, insurance, record-retention and nondiscrimination rules.
The agreement’s budget allocates $12,000 for RED Team participation, $145,000 for general visits, $107,500 for extended visits, $6,000 for phone communication and attempted contacts, and $40,575 for administrative costs each fiscal year.
