Shasta County supervisors on July 28 adopted annual parcel reports for five county service areas for fiscal 2026-27 and directed that the charges be collected on property tax bills as ordinary property taxes.
In the resolution, the board approved reports for County Service Areas Nos. 2, 6, 7, 14 and 15 without amendment, according to the county’s meeting materials. The resolution says the charges will appear as a separate item on tax bills and be collected in the same manner as other property taxes.
The lighting district package for CSA No. 15 shows total FY 2026-27 charges of $15,404.80 across 688 parcels, with zone-level parcel charges ranging from $3.20 to $75.00, according to the attached schedule. The resolution and attachment indicate the charges were previously established rather than newly set at the meeting.
