The Redwood Coast Energy Authority board is scheduled to consider approval of Resolution 2026-10, which would approve and attest to the agency’s 2025 Power Source Disclosure Report.
According to the Sept. 24 board agenda packet, RCEA’s 2025 REpower mix was 50% renewable and 50% carbon-free, with no unspecified power. Large hydro accounted for 42% of the portfolio and RCEA’s allocation of Diablo Canyon nuclear power accounted for 8%, the staff report says.
The report says the 2025 renewable share rose in part because Sandrini Solar generated for its first full year and Foster Avenue A and B came online later in the year. RCEA’s 2025 REpower+ product was made up of 40% solar, 20% wind and 40% small hydro, according to the packet.
RCEA staff project a 2026 mix of 62% renewable and 38% carbon-free power, with no unspecified sources. The projection is based in part on Sandrini Solar, Foster Avenue A and B, and North Coast Highway Solar 1 and 2 being fully online, along with a carbon-free nuclear allocation and existing contracts.
The California Energy Commission requires retail electricity suppliers to submit annual power-source disclosure reports. RCEA said it expects to mail customers a 2025 Power Content Label in the fourth quarter of 2026. The agenda packet does not include a completed vote certificate confirming whether the board adopted Resolution 2026-10; final action should be checked against the board’s minutes or certified resolution.
