Live Oak’s City Council is set to review a long list of city-owned parcels on April 15 and decide which should be treated as surplus, according to the council agenda packet.Live Oak April 15 agenda packet

Staff says more than 50 parcels are under review and recommends a mix of outcomes: some for sale, some for lease, some to remain in public use, and others for more study. The packet identifies parcels around Epperson Way, N Street, Pennington Road, Richard Avenue, Apricot Street and Larkin Road among those being reviewed.

Several sites are flagged as important public assets, including parks, the wastewater treatment plant, the city hall parcel, the corp yard, and utility or trail locations. The packet says that makes the item more than a housekeeping matter, since council direction could affect future land use, revenues and whether some parcels stay under city control.

The agenda summary does not show final council action on the parcels or which lots, if any, were ultimately declared surplus.

The same April 15 agenda also includes a road funding item, a proposed update to the city’s Master Fee Schedule, and consent items covering April 1 meeting minutes and a SACOG grant application for the Live Oak System Preservation Project.
